Why us

Straight answers, tidy work

No call-centre, no drawn-out quoting process. You ring, you speak to an electrician, you get a price.

Local

Based on Teesside

We work Middlesbrough, Stockton, Billingham, Redcar and the villages around them. Short drive, quicker call-out, no travelling charges from the other end of the country.

Clear

Priced before we start

You get a price for the job before any work begins. If we find something else once the cover's off, we tell you and you decide — nothing gets added to the bill without a conversation.

Urgent

Emergencies come first

Dead sockets, tripping RCDs, no power at all — those jobs get moved up the list. Ring us and tell us what's happening and we'll tell you honestly when we can be there.

Careful

Tested and labelled

Every circuit we touch gets tested and every board gets labelled properly, so the next person who opens it knows exactly what they're looking at.

Clean

Dust sheets and a hoover

Chasing walls and lifting floorboards makes mess. We cover up first, clear up after, and take the offcuts with us.

Anything

Small jobs welcome

One extra socket, a light that won't work, a fan that's packed in. We'll come out for the little stuff as well as the rewires.

Around Middlesbrough

Looking for an electrician near you?

Here's where we work and what people usually search for when they find us.

Electrician Near Me

Searching for an electrician near you in Middlesbrough usually means you want someone who can actually turn up this week — not a firm two counties away. We're a Teesside-based team, so a call-out to Linthorpe, Acklam or Marton is a short drive rather than a day trip. Domestic, landlord and small commercial work all covered.

Emergency Electrician Middlesbrough

Lost power, a breaker that keeps tripping, a scorched socket or a burning smell from the fuse board — these are the calls we prioritise. Tell us what's happened on the phone and we'll give you an honest arrival time rather than a vague window. If it's unsafe, we'll tell you what to isolate before we get there.

EV Charger Installer Middlesbrough

Home charge point installs across Teesside — survey, dedicated circuit from the board, weatherproof mounting and a tidy cable run. We'll talk through where the unit is best positioned for your drive and how the lead will sit when it's plugged in. Tethered or untethered, we'll fit what you've bought or advise on what suits.

Consumer Unit Upgrade Middlesbrough

Plenty of Teesside houses still have an old plastic or wooden fuse box with rewireable fuses and no RCD protection. A modern metal consumer unit with individual RCBOs means one faulty appliance trips one circuit — not the whole house in the dark. We test everything before and after, and label the board properly.

FAQs

Common questions

Do you cover emergency call-outs in Middlesbrough?

Yes. Loss of power, tripping circuits, burning smells and scorched sockets get moved to the front of the list. Ring 01642 088018, describe what's happening, and we'll give you a realistic time — and tell you what to switch off in the meantime if it isn't safe to leave on.

Which areas do you work in?

Middlesbrough and the surrounding Teesside area — Stockton-on-Tees, Thornaby, Billingham, Norton, Yarm, Eaglescliffe, Ingleby Barwick, Redcar, Marske, Saltburn, Guisborough, Great Ayton, Nunthorpe, Hartlepool and the villages in between. If you're just outside, ring and ask.

How much does an electrician cost?

It depends entirely on the job — a socket swap and a full rewire are very different pieces of work. We'll give you a price before anything starts, either over the phone for straightforward jobs or after a look for bigger ones. There are no charges added afterwards without speaking to you first.

Can you install an EV charger at my house?

Yes. We check the incoming supply and existing board, run a dedicated circuit to the charge point, mount it where it suits your parking, and make the cable run as discreet as possible. We can fit a unit you've already bought or talk you through tethered versus untethered before you order.

What is an EICR and do I need one?

An Electrical Installation Condition Report is a full inspection and test of the fixed wiring in a property, resulting in a report that says whether it's satisfactory. Landlords in England need one for rented properties, and they're also worth doing when buying an older house or if you've never had the wiring checked.

Should I upgrade my old fuse box?

If you've got rewireable fuses, a wooden or plastic enclosure, or no RCD protection, it's worth considering. A modern metal consumer unit with individual RCBOs isolates a fault to one circuit instead of tripping the whole house, and gives you proper protection against electric shock. We'll test the existing installation first and tell you honestly what's needed.

Do you do small jobs, or only big ones?

Both. Adding a double socket, replacing a light fitting, sorting a bathroom extractor fan or fixing an outdoor security light are all normal call-outs for us. You don't need a rewire's worth of work to get us out.

Will you make a mess?

Some jobs mean chasing walls or lifting boards, and that creates dust. We cover up before we start, clean up before we leave, and take our rubbish and offcuts with us rather than leaving them in your bin.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes — landlord safety checks and EICRs, plus commercial work such as distribution boards, control panels, shop and office lighting, and general maintenance. Tell us the property type when you call and we'll advise on what's required.

How do I book?

Ring 01642 088018 and speak to us directly, or fill in the quick quote form at the top of the page or the enquiry form below. Forms come straight through to us and we'll come back to you to confirm a time.
